About myself (Nuri)

Hello to all the readers,I would like to introduce myself,but first i want to apologise if my english are not too good,because when i decided to use english in my essay,i use to be a litlle bit shy and not confident at all.Back to the title,let me introduce my name.My name is Nurimanudin Bin Ishmuddin.I’am 18th years old,I was born in Hospital Kuala Lumpur and be raising 18 years in gombak selangor,I have a small family consist my father,mother,sister,me and my lil brother.My sister is 19th years old and currently study at Politeknik Muadzam Shah in tourism while my lil brother now studying in secondary school.And also me, currently study at UITM Melaka,Campus Alor Gajah.I’m continue my study in Diploma in New Media Communications and Entrepreneurship also well known as MC111 one of the group of masscomm.

The reason why im end up in MC111 is i was attract by blogger who represent MC111,via their blogger i have a sense of excitement to get into this course since MC111 contain many skills that i want to learn the most like gaming and animation.As a newbie gamers i really want to know how games are generated.

When the first day of being masscommers i see that masscomm student is the most talkative and friendly among other departments.

Refer to the picture above i want to tell that i once join theatre club at secondary school,well known as ‘Sebestari young talent Production’ me and my team have win twice in open event on 2016 and 2017.This year our team has been selected to representing selangor in national theatre competition.I hope they will do their best and make entire selangor proud with our club. I want to try my luck by joining club ‘kebudayaan’ in UITM,i want to pursue my passion to the next level.I hope i will gain more experience in university life and create the best memory here insyallah.Also i hope i can make my parents proud on me again.Other than theatre i have another hobby that i fill in leisure time is i love to singing,eventhough my voice is quite bad but it make me release my stress.

Why i choose MC111?

  • Firstly,when i open the UPU section i find out MC111 has an interested name and i directly put it at the first place.I do not expect i will get this course because i choose this course in unproper condition.At first i was excited when i attend an interview in shah alam,i saw many candidates and i was lucky to be here,after been choosing over 2000 participant.A month before i get in here i do some research and it raised my passion day by day.I feel more curious when i noted that this course contain gaming and animation since i love to play games.I really want to know how games been generated.Be a part of masscommers is not a mistake but it is a sustenance.Its worth it to explore masscomm world.Also i love the vibe here,being around with the good friends and lecturer.

    Learning Style Inventory:))

    There is many learning style inventory,every single person have their personally learning skills to help them study much better.learning style are divided by three which is audio,visual and kinesthetic.

    VISUAL LEARNER

    Need to see information.Visual learner have strong visualization skill and can remember objects,shapes and pictures exactly as what they look at.Can see a picture in mind based on things they reading and watching

    • Study using mind map,flow charts,and diagram,more works with the colorful notes
    • Raising visual memory skills day by day
    • Study using video or any visual stuff like telegram,picture and bright notes
    • Use flashcard in study group

    AUDITORY LEARNER

    An auditory learner are learn by hearing and listening.They understand and easily remember things they heard.Well known as “good ear”.Can hear different tones and rhytm.

    • Using music background while study
    • Sit near lecturer for catch every single important notes
    • Do revision by reading it out loud
    • Study by using recorder,for example: Record the point by lecturer and heard them when the class dismiss

    KINESTHETIC LEARNER

    Kinesthetic are a hands on learner.Have good coordination and learn by doing.

    • Walking while study or make any movement
    • Chew some candy while study
    • Trace words by using sign language
    • Use computer or phone to study,for raise some sense,sense of touching

    After have some VAK test,I know that i am the visual learner person.Here my VAK test result

    Since i am the visual learner person,i have prepared some strategy for my learning skill.

    STRATEGY AS A VISUAL LEARNER.

      •  Use the flashcard when do a study group.
      •  Often study via video (youtube,telegram,and instagram video)
      •  i will do a note with the variation of colors,to make the note look bright and colorful.

    MY WEAKNESS

    • Lazy to use variation colour of pen when writing notes

    • Attend all classes

    If we missed or skip classes we will get partially treatment which is get failed on exam,Also you will miss important lesson

    • Become an active learner

    Don’t ever be an introvert student because we’ll not get up to date on what happen around

    • Participate in classes

    Be active and always ask atleast one question in every class to more understand

    • Get to know your lecturer

    Because lecturer is the one who give the mark for our assignment and also give mark for final exam.Once you make lecturer mad on you,you are in risk of getting low mark.Lecture is our second guardian if we not know them well it will be hard in future because anything happen lecturer is the first one we contact to.so we need to be friend with lecture to earn opportunities to have better communication and assignment mark.

    • Form a study group

    From study group you can solve problem easily and also can switch opinion on each other.from it we will know that we have many skills to solve one problems

    • Stay up to date with the works

    How to stay up to date?Just need to keep reading news,television and mass media is the easy ways.Lack of knowledge will make you out dated.

    • Be receptive to changes
  • Change strategy if recent strategy not works .Dont stick to one things be open an accept all the changes based on situation .For example ‘If you not able to eat by using chopstick you can tryuse spoon?’Be open and be yourself
    • Work hard in every semester

    ‘Work hard or go home” everything we do,need a hardwork because its the key of succesfull

    GOAL SETTING AND MY GOALS

    Every people have goals and need goals for guide them through the future for not wasting their future by doing thing without plans because ‘if you failed to plans,you plans to failed’ .Goals is something the must for every student to arrange time wisely regarding the goals.

    Goals can be true if you follow SMART criteria,do you know what SMART stand for?

    S- SPECIFIC

    • You need to set the goals exactly as what you dream for,to keep you on track.Goals need to be specific and more detail.

    M- Measureable

    • You need to find out the way on how you going through the goals.Also you need to know what obstacle you will face on.Be measureable

    A- Achieveable

    • The goals must be achieveable,for example ‘do you think you can have luxury house,car and lifestyle now?’ of course not if you born in cozy family except you are in silver spoon family.Maybe it can be achieveable if the goals are set for 10 to 20 year to come.

    R- Relevant

    • Think wisely on what objective behind the goals.How relevant it can be.

    T- Timely

    • Time is the most important thing in behind all of the  SMART criteria.Because time can make you arrange schedule properly.Dont you ever cheat on time or wasting time because ‘times is gold’ every minute are precious.

    • Greet all classmate everyday to become close day by day

    Mid terms goals

    • Submit all assignment on time
    • Be friend with lecturer and always be polite and repect them.

    Long terms goals

    • I want to reach pointer 3.5 and above in every semester and get the titile ‘naib chanselor’ on my graduation day.
    • Make my parents proud on me once again
    • Continue my study in degree

    Memory,learning and improving concentration:)

    Human have 5 major sense:

    • Touch (Hands)
    • Hear(Ear)
    • Smell(Nose)
    • Taste(Tongue)
    • Sight(eyes)

    Sense is one thing we should grateful for,every human have sense,brain will trace any pulse from sense.Everything we touch,smell,heard,taste and look will affect our brain.Its difficult to person who not have or lost one of a sense.Just imagine your life without taste?

    Sensory memory is the ability that brain can retain memory in shortest terms when the original stimuli ended.Input will transfer to sensory memory,after get the input,sensory memory will transfer input to short term memory,some of memory will failed to transferred it called as lost memory.Short term memory also known as.Before i forgot sensory memory received from our 5 sense touch,smell,sight,hear,taste.

    The information stored in SM, when relevant, can be extracted by Short-Term Memory to be processed by Working Memory (WM). Normally, STM can store any information for roughly 30 seconds, which is then possessed, manipulated, and controlled by the working memory. Information from STM can then be transferred into Long-Term Memory by various methods such as Rehearsal and Chunking, where memory can be stored for even a life time.

    From the picture above,we can see the kind of ways that make us remember the most.

    • Teach others is the big ways to remember because when we teach other we are taught ourselves and at the same times we will improve our solving skill.I remember one quotes, “When we give one sweets,we lost one sweets,but if we share one knowledge we gain more knowledge” i will stick with this quotes for remind me always not to be greedy and stingy.
      Practice by doing its also important because practice make perfect,same goes to mathematics we need to often do an exercise to solve problem and to sharp our skill.From practice we can remember in a long term if we consistence on doing exercise.
      Discussion group is important,we can close our relationship on group while get the knowledge by switch every idea on each other.it(memory) will stay longer if we insert a joke or any attractive things that can make us feel comfort and happy to study
      Demonstration,is one of the best ways for kineasthetic learner . If you are not a kineasthetic learner,demonstration is not your major skill so it only retain 30% in our memory,it able to retain 60% if demonstration is doing in every week.
      Audio/Visual is place on the third floor from top its because if we learn only from audio and visual without taking notes its nothing.
      Reading also not give us remember in a long time,i remember when im at secondary school i use to reading a night before exam and its retain only when im in exam hall,once i go out from there,what i reading last night dissapear like the dust.
      Lecture is only contain 5%.Its because we re human are not able to remember all the things in one time,that is why we need to be active in class,not understand in class is a really big deal of yours.Dont let yourself behind others.Ask lecturer if you not understand certain things.

    MEMORY STRATEGY

    • Do revision
    • Read it out loud to sharpen the memory
    • Form a study group
    • Keep asking for the things you not clear about.
    • Keep doing exercise

      • Keep asking question when in class to avoid sleepy.
      Take important notes,always prepared pen and notebook
      Avoid talking while lecturer give a talk
      Create the positive vibes when learning
      Match your major learning skill,For example, for kineasthetic learner keep your body active when you in class.

    What is SQ3R

    SQ3R is a memory method named it is contain five steps:

    • Survey
    • Question
    • Read
    • Recite
    • Review
  • I will explain each steps,
      • Survey the contain and chapter.This include the title,heading and subheading.Do summary to make sure you understand.
      Create a Question after do survey.Make everything turn to question.Question on what you know based on the material you read.
      Begin you Reading and find the answer to the question you come out earlier.Slow down and read repeatly during difficult passage/words.It help you understand and remember better
      Recite what you reading.Do some flip through after mevery class.Summarize what you have read
      When you done it all out.Review the question and answer .Do a flip through again to make you remember better in a long terms.

    Note-taking

    Note-taking mean write down all the important point during classes. Note can be so variation base on each creativity.Note can develope your memory to retain last longer.My note-taking strategy is i will use colourful pen since i am the visual learner it will make me easier to understand and remember .Next,i will used shape outline like cloud,tree, heart and etc.Shape outline shown important part of main idea.Also,i will used highlights for underline important points.Flow charts and map is quite help when do a note-taking to make it look interesting.

    What is plagiarism?

    • Plagiarism is copying others without giving credit
    • Falling to put quotation marks,not changing words and copied them exactly the same
    • Plagiarism is the worst crime in university because it give the easier way to student and raised their laziness.
    • What is GPA and CGPA and what is the difference?
    • GPA and CGPA is grade system that used in university,to calculate student performance.In secondary school we use A,B,C,D for grading but in universities GPA and CGPA are use.
    • What is difference between GPA and CGPA

    GPA

    GPA stand for grade point average,Gpa is average of the grades obtained by student in a single semester.

    • CGPA
    • CGPA stand for Cumulative Grade Point Average.Cgpa are calculate in the entire semester from semester one to semester five.Good CGPA shown the good GPA in every years
